Deposit and payment
A 50% deposit secures your date. It is non-refundable but fully transferable to another date within 12 months. We accept cash, card and Zelle. The remaining balance is due the morning of your trip.
Cancellation and weather
Cancellations made 3 or more days in advance receive a full refund or a free reschedule. Cancellations within 3 days forfeit the deposit unless we are able to rebook your date.
We fish in rain or shine. If we must cancel because of lightning, high winds or unsafe conditions, you can choose a full refund or a free reschedule.
When to book
We recommend booking 2 to 4 weeks in advance. June, July and early August are our busiest months, along with October for fall trophy season. Weekends book first, so weekdays have more availability.
Start times and meeting place
We meet you at the lake, not in town, to maximize your time fishing. Summer trips typically start at 7:00 AM and fall trips at 8:00 AM. We share the exact meeting location when you book. Depending on the season, we use different spots on each lake.
Half day trips
We specialize in full day charters. Because of the travel to our lakes, a full day gives you the most time on the water and the best fishing experience.
Groups and families
Every trip is a private charter. We host families, friends, corporate outings, bachelor parties and birthday celebrations. The maximum is 4 anglers per boat, and for larger groups we can coordinate multiple boats with other trusted local guides.
Kids, beginners and accessibility
Beginners are always welcome. Children are welcome with no minimum age, though we cannot take infants under 12 months because life jackets do not fit securely, and children under 13 wear a life jacket at all times in the boat. For guests with limited mobility, please call us. Many of our ramps are accessible and some are not, and we will recommend the best lake for your needs.
Our boat and how we fish
We fish from our private 18 foot Klamath Alaskan boat, designed for stability and safety on large mountain reservoirs. On our mountain trout lakes we troll for trophy trout with downriggers, lead core and flat lines, and all gear is provided.
If you keep fish, we clean them and bag them with ice at no extra charge. Keep fish within the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources limits for that lake. We also support catch and release for trophy fish.
